About

We are excited to announce Elevate UNM, a multi-year initiative to modernize the administrative systems that support our university.

Many of UNM's finance, human resources, and student services systems have served us well for decades, but they are increasingly costly to maintain and no longer provide the seamless experience our community deserves. Elevate UNM is our commitment to changing that.

Following a comprehensive, university-wide evaluation process, UNM has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud as the platform for the first phase of Elevate UNM. This integrated, cloud-based solution will replace our current finance and HR systems, delivering stronger reporting and analytics, improved cross-functional integration, and a flexible foundation that can grow with the university.

What This Means for You

Whether you're managing a budget, hiring an employee, or submitting a travel reimbursement, our goal is to make those processes simpler, faster and more transparent. The new platform will help us:

  • Streamline administrative processes and reduce manual work
  • Improve access to data, reporting and analytics
  • Expand self-service options for employees and managers
  • Strengthen collaboration across Central Campus, Health Sciences and branch campuses
  • Enhance security, compliance, and data stewardship

What Comes Next

In the coming months, information will be shared involving: Project milestones and implementation timelines, opportunities to participate and provide feedback, updates on project progress and key decisions, information about project governance and leadership, and training and support resources to help you prepare.

Implementation will begin this fall with Finance and HR, followed by future phases that will address the Student Information System and other critical technologies.

How to Get Involved

Your expertise matters. In the coming months, there will be opportunities to participate in workshops, process design, testing, and training. We are committed to communicating regularly, minimizing disruption and designing systems with our community's needs in mind.
